Why I Have Been Missing
I have been missing far too long. I haven't been miles from my computer either. Nope, not at all. In fact I have been keeping my computer so much company lately I believe we are completely and utterly sick of each other.
Well no not really. Maybe I am. Or not. You see I had this opportunity a few weeks ago. A great chance to use my abilities behind my camera to capture some pictures for a friend. Of her soon to be high school senior son. She asked me like a year ago to take pictures for her of her son. I was elated at this thought. No, ecstatic. So excited. Extremely ready to jump at this chance. And when she called me up out of the blue and asked if I could take her son's senior pictures of course I said yes.
And then it all escalated from there. And I have been on this high since. This huge wave of emotions, "Yes! This is what I love to do!". I had so much fun doing this photoshoot for her and of her son. He was so fun to work with. And now I am hooked. Line and sinker.
With that opportunity in my hands I jumped excitedly into creating my own photography business. Say wahhhh? Gulp! Yep. I did it. Created a name for myself, sort of. Bought my own domain. Built a website. Put together a Facebook fan page. Designed a logo/watermark for my images. And just today, ordered some business cards. Whew. Yes so much to do. So happy doing it. And finding it so easy to put all of this together. As if to say, "So meant to be!".
That is where I have been these past weeks. Well throw in a 3 day tour of Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island last week, which was a total blast with my kids, my big sister and my nephews and niece. We had a blast together. Didn't we sweet sister?
