How many of you were looking here yesterday for some Ruby Tuesday? And were you a bit disappointed? Anyone? Raise your hand. 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 11.......ZERO! That is what I figured.
So today you will get a peek at my desk. My workstation. My little cubby hole. Where my ever growing belly fat continues to grow because of this spot. Why my neck is sore and my back shouts out to me to sit up straighter.
I have been spending more time than I would like to lately because I am preparing for my upcoming photography class I will be teaching next month. In roughly two weeks. Did I mention that?
There has been lot's of paperwork. Notes. Organizing images for a slideshow. Trying to contain my upcoming excitement about this class and trying to calm my nerves.
How does your desk rate in comparison? I think one's desk speaks a lot about someone. Please don't instantly judge me! Yooper wonders daily how I stay so organized with such a cluttered area. You see, I am a multi-tasker at heart. It is how I rock and roll. And he wonders how I can whip out a receipt he was looking for in an instant. Find his farm checkbook in a flash. Ask when his next physical therapy appointment is with a snap of his fingers. At least he knows exactly where I am hiding when he is in the kitchen whipping up a chocolate cake and making a mess in the process.
As for me, I know where all of my 1, 123,119 plus or minus digital picture files are stored. How to spell "definitely" correctly. And the word "recieve", I mean "receive". Have access to each and everyone of our checking/savings accounts and be able to answer Yooper's daily question of "How much is in our account?"
Here at this desk, I can find out who went where for spring break this week. Who is having a bad day. Or a great one! Who had a great workout doing Turbo. Who is now friends with this person or that one. Who is having a birthday. Who won't say how old they are. And who wishes for warmer weather. And how they wish they had gone somewhere warm for spring break.
But of course, and let us not wonder where my latest bottle of wine is.
My desk has been in our great room next to our kitchen since December when our renovation project began. I will be so glad when it is moved back to the "new" room. My desk has become a sort of extra counter space. A place for "stuff" to pile. Accumulations of this and that. Since this picture was taken, I have cleaned my desk. Yay! Happy day. It looked nice for a few days. I was proud. Sadly, it is in disarray again.
I think today calls for some desk cleaning. Organizing.

Don't feel bad, my desk is much more of a mess than yours.....and I like the fact you have a bottle of wine on your desk;) Have a great day!!
Just two thoughts. And since this thought came second, but is now leading the fight to be my first new thought, I'll say it first: Why don't I have wine on MY desk?
And secondly: I really have to clean my desk.
Lately mine has been disorganized too. Yes, I miss Ruby Tuesdays..I used to look forward to Tuesdays..but I know you are busy..and of course Ruby is incapable..or I am sure she would carry on.
I hope you get to move into your new room soon..although being off the kitchen must have its advantages..like warm chocolate cake:)
I only wish my desk was that clean! lol
I try not to look to intensely at mine : ) When I do I feel overwhelmed with all of the things I simply MUST do! I love the pictures on yours the best.
Your desk is very neat and organized compared to our desks. Our desks (hubby's and mine) are so messy that the mess spills to other horizontal surfaces. It starts at my hubby's desk. Then fills the top of the antique desk. Then the kitchen island. My workspace is filled with bits of paper and pictures, embellishments and pieces of ribbon because I'm in the middle of making cards for a craft fair. That mess has moved to another table and of course, the floor. Ugh! I can't stand it.
I wish I had a bottle of wine of my desk. Well, maybe not. It would be empty. I wouldn't be able to spell anything!!!
